Congratulations to Adrian Obrist for successfully defending his PhD Thesis

We are delighted to announce that EEPE PhD Candidate Adrian Obrist successfully defended his doctoral dissertation on 16 August 2023.

In his thesis, he explores the role of energy-related financial literacy concerning residential energy efficiency. Additionally, he investigates the effect of information on consumers’ durable goods choices and sheds light on the channels through which informational interventions affect behavior.

While writing his dissertation at EEPE, Adrian was involved in several projects funded by the Swiss government and the European Union. Moreover, he supported the chair’s teaching activities by assisting in the “Principles of Microeconomics” course over several years and supervising Master’s theses.

We warmly congratulate Adrian and wish him all the best for his future career!
