Successful workshops on “Behavioral anomalies and energy efficiency in the transportation sector in Nepal”

CEPE and CEDECON (Central Department of Economics) at Tribhuvan University, Nepal, organized joint workshops on “Behavioral anomalies and energy efficiency in the transportation sector in Nepal”.

The workshops were part of the SNF-funded SPIRIT grant: Barriers towards the adoption of energy=efficient vehicles in Nepal and the role of behavioral biases. The first round of workshop was catered towards an academic audience and discussed research outputs that came out of the partnership between the two institutions. The second workshop, in presence of the incumbent Minister for Energy and Water Resources Mr. Shakti Bahadur Basnet, focused on linking the findings to current policies in energy efficiency in Nepal and exchanging policy ideas between policymakers and researchers.

Prof. Dr. Massimo Filippini, Dr. Suchita Srinivasan, and Mr. Bigyan Babu Regmi presented the research papers on behalf of CEPE, whereas Dr. Nirmal K. Raut and Mr. Naveen Adhikari discussed their research on behalf of the Tribhuvan University.
